On December 25, 2020, the Henan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions announced the list of nominees for the 2020 Provincial Model Labor Models and Artisan Talent Innovation Studios, and the "Wang Fei Innovation Studio" from the Metallurgical Machinery Company was successfully selected.

The Metallurgical Machinery Company's Innovation Studio was officially authorized by the company's trade union in July 2015. In December 2018, it was renamed after Wang Fei, the recipient of the "Central Plains Master Craftsman" title, who played a pivotal role in revitalizing the studio. As of now, the core team of the Innovation Studio consists of 14 members, including 3 senior engineers, 10 mid-level engineers, and 1 assistant engineer. Notably, Wang Fei himself has earned numerous prestigious accolades, such as "Jiyuan Top-notch Skilled Talent," "Jiyuan Master Craftsman," "Central Plains Master Craftsman," "Technical Expert in the Nonferrous Metals Industry," "National Technical Expert," and "Most Beautiful Employee of Henan Province." Meanwhile, several team members have been recognized as "Top 10 Science and Technology Innovation Talents in Jiyuan City" and honored as company-level model workers. Additionally, the innovation team has been designated as the Jiyuan City Innovative Science and Technology Team for Metallurgical Machinery Research and Application, earning the esteemed title of "Advanced Team in Jiyuan City."
Studio members have continuously achieved innovative breakthroughs through "continuous innovation," earning a total of 27 patents and software copyrights. They've successfully completed 15 project commercialization initiatives, generating cumulative direct economic benefits totaling over 10 million yuan. Their groundbreaking "Fully Automatic Zinc Stripping Equipment Suite" has been recognized as Henan Province's first (and Jiyuan City's first) set of major technical equipment, earning multiple prestigious awards, including from Jiyuan City, the Nonferrous Metals Association, and the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Additionally, six of their innovations have received the Yuguang Group Science and Technology Progress Award.
Establishing model innovation studios for labor models and skilled artisans is a crucial step in implementing the "Henan Province Industrial Worker Development and Reform Implementation Plan," helping the Metallurgical Machinery Company carefully cultivate outstanding role models, refine its policy incentive mechanisms, and accelerate the growth and development of employees, thereby supporting the company's rapid expansion.
