When I first met Gaoyang, he had just joined the team—not long after—and still carried a touch of youthful innocence. Yet in his work, he was fearless and full of energy, tackling every task with precision and confidence. He always maintained a humble and eager attitude toward senior colleagues, eagerly absorbing their wisdom and experience. Even when facing complex challenges or tough problems, he’d meticulously document his solutions and insights in a personal journal, turning them into valuable growth notes. He truly is a bright and eager young professional. Over time, his roles shifted repeatedly, but Gaoyang consistently upheld his modest and respectful demeanor, embracing each new opportunity with open-mindedness and determination.

When I first met Gaoyang, he had just joined the company and hadn’t yet shed his youthful inexperience. Yet, at work, he was fearless—like a newborn calf unafraid of tigers. He approached every task with precision and confidence, always maintaining a humble and eager attitude toward senior colleagues. Even when facing complex challenges or tough problems, he diligently documented solutions and insights in his daily log, turning them into valuable growth notes for himself.
This is a keen and eager young person who loves to learn.
Later, his position changed again and again, but Gao Yang consistently maintained a humble attitude, embraced challenges head-on, and remained committed to working hard with determination.

Years later, I dug out his diary and learning materials from my old office computer. This only strengthened my conviction that success is never accidental—but rather the well-deserved reward for a determined person's persistent, hard work over time!

Having walked this journey for ten years, a naive student started as a worker and, through his solid and diligent work ethic, coupled with his eagerness to learn and his fearless attitude toward challenges, steadily advanced step by step. He honed his skills across various roles, successfully tackling one new task after another, continuously growing stronger along the way—until today, he now proudly shoulders the critical responsibility of leading the department’s growth. On Yuguang’s tenth anniversary, he perfectly encapsulated his dedicated journey by earning the title of Model Worker. Meet Zhao Gaoyang, Sales Director at Yuguang Metallurgical Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
A challenging start—pioneering in market development.
In 2009, after graduating from university, Zhao Gaoyang took on his first job at Yuguang as a welding apprentice—holding the welding torch, performing cutting tasks, tightening screws, and even applying paint. Over the next decade, he steadily advanced through various roles, including engineering management, quality management, QC achievement management, equipment procurement, company qualification management, sales representative, and eventually sales manager. In each position, he approached his responsibilities with dedication, continuously honing his skills through diligent study and hard work. During this time, he earned the mechanical company’s very first QC award and its first-ever science and technology achievement prize, and he also authored the company’s very first technical standard for quality inspection and acceptance in mechanical manufacturing. His diverse professional experiences not only bolstered his unwavering confidence but also equipped him with profound on-site expertise and exceptional coordination skills. Thanks to his remarkable ability to adapt quickly to new roles, the company entrusted him with increasingly significant responsibilities—ultimately elevating him to become the company’s top-performing sales executive.
The mechanical company, fresh off its market entry, had no qualifications, no customers, and no track record—its product sales system remained unclear as well. Starting from scratch with zero experience to draw on, everyone doubted the viability of selling externally. Most believed it was merely a superficial effort, with no one truly expecting the company to break through in Yuguang or establish a solid foothold in the competitive market. After Zhao Gaoyang joined the team, he meticulously familiarized himself with the company’s product lineup and promptly crafted the very first product promotion manual and corporate introduction video for the mechanical company. Over time, he diligently prepared and submitted over 250,000 words worth of application documents, successfully securing all necessary construction-related qualifications for the company. This laid a robust foundation for launching external sales initiatives. With everything finally in place, Zhao Gaoyang took on the dual role of sole salesperson, single-handedly venturing out to visit clients, independently organizing sales materials, and managing all sales-related tasks—all while consistently staying at the forefront of marketing efforts. Frequent business trips meant less time spent at home, leaving him with little choice but to prioritize his professional responsibilities. Though his young child often fell ill with fevers, he could rarely be there to support them, as his wife bore the burden alone during those times. While away on the road, gazing at the fever-reducing patch on his child’s forehead through his phone screen, he couldn’t help but feel deeply guilty about his absence from family life. In the early days, market development felt lonely and isolating. As a pioneer forging new ground, Zhao Gaoyang’s personal journey mirrored the emotional rollercoaster of uncertainty, confusion, self-doubt, growing confidence, and ultimately, the rewarding sense of accomplishment that came with breaking through barriers.
Thriving vigorously—becoming a leader in market development.
Over the past few years, Zhao Gaoyang and the sales team he leads have worked tirelessly—venturing into mountainous regions, scaling towering peaks, braving scorching heat, and enduring bitter cold. Their足迹 have taken them across the vast landscapes of China, from north to south and east to west. In 2018 alone, the entire sales team visited and engaged in business interactions with a total of 96 client companies, covering more than 70 cities across 23 provinces. They meticulously used over a thousand sales materials during their extensive outreach efforts. As a result, the team secured over 70 external sales contracts, totaling 26.69 million yuan in value. Since the company first launched its overseas sales operations five years ago, it has maintained steady growth for five consecutive years. Notably, the company’s overseas sales revenue has surged dramatically—from just over 2 million yuan at the start of market development in 2014, it has now grown by an impressive 13-fold. Five years ago, the company was virtually unknown, a tiny speck in the vast and competitive machinery equipment market. Yet today, when people hear about Yuguang Group’s equipment subsidiary—theYuguang Metallurgical Machinery Company—they instantly recognize it as a trusted brand renowned for producing practical, high-quality products that inspire complete confidence. This simple yet heartfelt praise serves as the ultimate testament to the Yuguang brand—and, more broadly, as the strongest validation of Yuguang Metallurgical Machinery Company’s growing prominence within the industry.
Five years have passed, and the machinery company has grown from having just one salesperson—Zhao Gaoyang—to today’s thriving Marketing Department. The department now handles a wide range of market operations, including outbound sales, procurement, budgeting, and financial closing. Looking back on the past five years of outbound sales work, Zhao Gaoyang himself can hardly believe how he managed to navigate this challenging journey—from starting with zero knowledge and amidst widespread skepticism—to steadily pushing forward and reaching where he is today.
Pioneer and innovate, sounding the loudest note in market development.
After several years of development, thanks to Zhao Gaoyang's dedicated efforts, a comprehensive sales management system tailored to the growth of the machinery company has been established. Detailed institutional guidelines have been put in place for every stage of the sales process, accompanied by a well-rounded set of promotional methods and resources. As a result, the company’s externally sold products have evolved significantly—from non-standard components at the outset—to today’s sophisticated, fully integrated automated equipment systems. Under his exemplary leadership, the marketing department has cultivated a serious and diligent work environment. All sales personnel embody a proactive attitude: they avoid complaints, refrain from empty rhetoric, and rely neither on others nor on waiting for handouts. Instead, they take responsibility for identifying their own shortcomings, actively seek opportunities to learn and improve, prioritize action over conditions, and let their performance do the talking. It is precisely this motivated and resilient sales team—driven by Zhao Gaoyang—that has enabled the machinery company to achieve rapid business growth through the collective dedication of every member.
Zhao Gaoyang is responsible for the marketing department, whose duties cover budgeting and financial planning, bidding, outsourcing, and sales operations—areas that span a wide range yet remain closely tied to the company’s core business and serve as the frontline interface with the market. Taking charge of the marketing team, Zhao Gaoyang proactively takes initiative, relies neither on others nor complains. During the rollout of external sales initiatives, he has engaged in extensive, highly effective communication and coordination with other departments across the company, fostering seamless collaboration and ensuring efficient, timely exchanges that ultimately keep the external sales efforts running smoothly.
With the leadership and support of company executives over the past few years, Zhao Gaoyang, who oversees external sales, has worked alongside the machinery company—relying on both hard work and ingenuity—to firmly establish a foothold during Yuguang's rapid growth era. Together, they’ve achieved development, made steady progress, and gained a strong position in the fiercely competitive metallurgical machinery market. These years of solid, results-driven sales efforts have inspired the entire team at the machinery company, reinforcing their shared belief that Yuguang’s vision for cutting-edge equipment will undoubtedly come to fruition.
